The Jr. High Mission Trip took place July 24 - 31, 2010.  These quick updates were posted on Facebook during the trip.  Start at the bottom of the page and work your way up for the updates to make more sense with the time line of the trip.


Aug 1 -  ‎"After the 'church trip' stops, WHAT'S NEXT? Will there be FELLOWSHIP, PRAYER, DISCIPLES, will you open your BIBLES?" - "After the Music Stops" by Lecrae. Replace "music" with "church trip" and let it tell you what to do NEXT!

July 31 - Home Sweet Home! A big thanks to all our prayer warriors out there and to POPS, MOPS, and LIZZA...our amazing volunteers!

July 31 - Thank you God for our week in Chattanooga. On the way home. Just hit Birmingham.

July 30 - Had a fun day at Coolidge Park with our BC kids. Now eating some victory food at "Cheeburger Cheeburger"

July 30 - It's friday. I'm sad I'm not getting my praise+worship on like we have all week :( I guess ill have to sing on my own. Get ur ear plugs

July 30 - AM Devotional - We read Philippian 2:3-11. Walking the Talk took Jesus to the cross. Where should you and I expect the path of true discipleship to take us? Last Day here we come...NEED YOU JESUS!

July 29 - Last Day of Bible Club went WELL. My highlight was watching our students play, pray, and share the Gospel with the kids on their own. We are taking a lot of the kids from BC to Coolidge Park for a picnic tomorrow. Pray for energy+boldness for the students to continue to pass on the Gospel of Jesus (1 Cor 15:3)...aft...er all, it's our last DAY with them! OPEN THE BOOK, OPEN THE BOOK...PREACH THE WORD, PREACH THE WORD

July 29 - Started day with great praise+worship. A good work day. Last Bible Club here we come! The Gospel will be preached. Pray!

July 29 - Andy Sensing aka "Pops" cooked all of us pancakes this morning. A special treat from the usual cereal and Bagels. Thanks POPS

July 28 - We had a REALLY GOOD Bible Club tonight. A great skit + talk based on the parable of the Pharisee and Tax Collector. They loved coloring the giant hearts that we gave them for the craft AND they loved coloring our faces with the markers EVEN MORE! We really bonded with the kids. Lots of funny pictures to come. July 28 - About to go to Bible Club for the 2nd Day. Pray for us! Pray for wheeler homes, which is the community we go to.

July 28 - ‎"I am often guilty of performing good deeds that are convenient and that make ME feel good" - from Morning Devotional. Lord, let today's work be about YOU and not me. Amen?

July 27 - ‎2nd Day on Worksite consisted of painting a front porch at 1 site and doing some cleaning/destructive work at another Hope 4 Inner city site that is going to be made into transitional housing for the homeless. 1st Day of Bible Club went very well, our kids loved it (and wished it lasted longer)

July 26 - ‎1st Day on Worksite. A good start. Lots of cleaning. Did some door 2 door advertising at area we r doing Bible Club. Rain cut it short :( Went to Covenant College for dinner and a tour in the rain

July 25 - Worship @ New City Fellowship was a HUGE blessing to our team. Lots of meetings/training afterwards. 1 meeting - Had an amazing time of sharing spiritual struggles and prayer 4 each other as a group. Lots of tears were had by all. Holy Spirit was present in a POWERFUL way! This trip is just getting started...keep praying 4 us!

July 24 - Jr. High had a great trip up, ate some tasty pizza downtown and psyched to worship at New City Fellowship tomorrow.
