Parent Hang-Time
Come be a part of the HPCYM!
Being a part of the HPCYM is not a duty for parents, its a blessing. We love having you around (just not too many of you at one time!). Hang-Time is a chance for you to be around the students and the discipleship programs. It's also a chance for you to help out the HPCYM with general supervision. We appreciate your help and want you to know that we are here to help you disciple your kids. Please enjoy the time of fellowship with each other and the students.
So what does Hang-Time look like?
We need for every parent to sign up to serve at least once per semester. You will serve one Sunday morning and the following Wednesday evening.
Sunday mornings, High-Life: supervision time, 9:00-10:45am
- Please be at the youth building by 9:00am on Sunday mornings.
- Please make coffee and start water boiling in water pot. Please set out supplies for coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc… You will find all you need in the kitchenette area.
- On Sunday mornings please welcome students when they arrive and assist visitors.
- During the Sunday school hour please make sure students are where they are supposed to be. Once class begins students should not be in the parking lot, the game room, or roaming around the church.
- Please feel free to pop in and out of the class rooms during the teaching times to observe and assist the teachers with order in the room.
- Please make sure everyone has moved toward the sanctuary by 10:45am for worship.
Wednesday evenings, FUSION: supervision time, 5:00-7:30pm
- Please arrive at the youth building as close to 5:00pm as possible.
- Please help us make sure the building is not unattended from 5pm to 6pm before the program starts. We want the building to be open during the supper time for fellowship.
- Please have one volunteer or a student get your dinner from the fellowship hall so that you can eat it at the youth building during supervision time.
- Please feel free to pop in and out of the class rooms during the teaching times to observe and assist with order in the room.
- During the large group time (6-7:30pm) please make sure students are where they are supposed to be. Once large group begins students should not be in the parking lot, the game room, or roaming around the church.
