It's Summer Time! The challenge is to spend some time daily reading your Bible. Below are plans for you to challenge yourself with. If you decide to try one out and want some daily accountability (Devin needs it too!) then I can put you (or a parent's phone) in a Group Text. So let me know if you want that! I encourage parents to do this with their kids and talk about it daily.
The Bible Study Sheet is for you to help you get something out of your reading. The 3 pictures represent what you are to look for in the text you have read for that day.
1) Magnifying Glass - Carefully inspect the text and write down any observations you have. These can be obvious and really anything, as long as it comes from the text.
2) Cross - Think about ways that your passage fits in with the Greater Story of God's Saving work through Jesus. Write down any ways that the passage you just read relates to Jesus' life or death.
3) Clapperboard (you will know it when you see it - ACTION!) - Write down how this passage should make a difference in your life. It could be a challenge to think, say, or do something. Spend some time praying for strength and help to do the things that God says to do.
After you do all of this, come up with a Title that summarizes what you just read in 1 statement/sentence/phrase
An example from Devin's reading of Genesis 2:
Title: It is good for man to work 6 days and rest 1 day, but not to be alone ever.
